Houston’s fastest-growing pediatric urgent care practice to open fourth location; ramps up hiring plans

HOUSTON, TX – NightLight Pediatric Urgent Care, recognized by Inc. Magazine as one of the fastest growing companies in the nation, today announced it will open a after hours pediatric urgent care clinic in Humble, making this the fourth clinic in its network throughout the Houston area.

The clinic will be located at 20440 Highway 59, Suite 500, Humble, TX 77338, in the DeerBrook Marketplace at Hwy 59 North and Townsen Boulevard next to Office Max, Marshalls, and Toys R Us. Clinic opening day takes place the week of February 23, 2015, with a ribbon cutting ceremony with the Lake Houston Area Chamber of Commerce set for March 26, 2015. Operating exclusively on an after hours basis, NightLight treats children ages 0 -18 years-old with non-emergency illnesses exclusively after hours when their primary care physician’s office is closed.

With the expansion the company plans to add seven new staff physicians and other health care professionals to its growing after hours pediatric urgent care practice that include: Physicians, Medical Assistant, PRN Medical assistant, Nurse Practitioner, PRN Nurse practitioner, PRN Physician, and LMRT. The company currently employs 45 and is hiring for similar positions in their three other locations in Sugar land, CyFair, and Pearland.

The 2,900 square-foot facility will have seven exam rooms all featuring kid-friendly murals designed to help kids feel at ease during their treatments. Services at the new clinic include onsite X-ray capabilities, cryo-treatment of warts; wedge removal of ingrown toenails along with foreign body removals, and draining of abscesses. These services compliment the range of medical illness treatments offered including flu-symptoms, colds, fevers, insect bites, and rashes. Trauma care includes stiches, sprains, and splints for broken bones, burns, eye injuries, and animal bites. NightLight offers extended hours during the school year to accommodate increased demand during flu season.
