Cy-Fair Businesses Nominated For Small Business Awards

NightLight Pediatric Among Nominees

Lone Star College System has announced the 18 finalists who will be honored at the system’s 30th annual Small Business of the Year awards, set to take place Nov. 17.

Each year, three small businesses representing each of the system’s six campuses are named as finalists. Nominees are chosen based on four categories — leadership, entrepreneurial spirit, business growth and contribution to the community.

The three nominees for LSC-CyFair are AAA Plumbers, Nightlight Pediatric Urgent Care and Mathnasium of Cy-Fair.

Steve Park and Cesar Lima of AAA Plumbing were nominated for their service to families living in multifamily housing. AAA Plumbing partners with nonprofit Camp Hope to help with fundraising and facility maintenance, donates to the Red Cross to help residents affected by flooding and provides scholarships for local students.

Zawadi Bryant, Anastasia Gentles and Consuelo Cazares with Nightlight Pediatric Urgent Care were recognized for their commitment to children. Nightlight partners with Early Matters on a reading initiative for young children, works with the Houston Food Bank and volunteers at Kid’s

Meals each month.
