March 2007 (Houston, TX) — In 2007 in the face of one of the worst economic downturns, not many considered it an ideal time to open a business but that is exactly when the vision for NightLight Pediatric Urgent Care was born. Dr. Anastasia Gentles, co-Founder and Medical Director witnessed the soaring costs and wait times in the emergency rooms where she treated kids coming in with minor issues. “The light bulb went off leading to the development of NightLight Pediatric Urgent Care which operates after hours, weekends and all holidays when the primary care physician’s office is closed,” says Dr. Gentles. Seven years after opening its first location in Sugar Land, NightLight’s growth continues with its third location set to open in Pearland in the second quarter of 2014.
